What is NAD+?
This one is not a peptide and we would rather say so. NAD+ is a coenzyme, specifically a dinucleotide: two nucleotides joined together, with no amino acids involved.
Specification
| Class | Coenzyme (dinucleotide) |
|---|---|
| Also written | Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide |
| Purity | ≥99% by HPLC |
| Vial strength | 500mg |
| Vial state | Lyophilised powder |
| Certificate | On request, against the batch number |
NAD+ and NMN
The two get confused. NAD+ is the coenzyme itself; NMN, or nicotinamide mononucleotide, is a precursor sitting earlier on the same pathway, which makes it a different molecule. Only NAD+ is stocked here.
What has NAD+ been studied for?
The record behind NAD+ includes 2 human studies, which few compounds in this catalogue can say. Below is what each paper set out to examine, sorted by the model it ran in:
Human studies
- Dietary Supplementation With NAD+-Boosting Compounds in Humans: Current Knowledge and Future Directions, Human, review of clinical trials (PMID 37068054)
- NAD+ Therapeutics and Skeletal Muscle Adaptation to Exercise in Humans, Human, review
Each line describes what a paper looked at. None of it reports an effect in a person, and no part of this site tells anyone how to use anything.
Where and how to buy NAD+ in the UK
How do you order?
Pick a strength from the table, put it in the basket and check out. There is no account to set up. The confirmation reaches you straight away and the payment details follow by email, because no card is taken on the site.
Why does UK stock matter?
The NAD+ you order leaves a warehouse in Britain. That means no customs step, no import charge and no days lost in transit from abroad. Before 2pm on a working day and it is collected that afternoon, tracked, in an outer box that gives nothing away.
What arrives in the box?
| Purity | ≥99%, by HPLC |
|---|---|
| Labelling | Compound, strength, format, purity, research-use statement and a batch number |
| Certificate of analysis | On request, matched to your batch number |
| Delivery | Tracked, UK only. £4.95, free over £75 |
| Returns | 14 days on unopened, sealed items, terms |
Reconstituting NAD+
The vial arrives as a freeze-dried cake. It becomes a solution once bacteriostatic water goes in, and how much you add is what decides the strength of that solution. The quantity in the vial never changes, only the volume it is spread through.
What you see here are concentrations and volumes. Nothing on this site is dosage, protocol or administration guidance, and no number above is one either.
Loaded with 500mg and 2ml to start. Move either control and the numbers move with it. The full reconstitution calculator goes further, into syringe units, which water to pick and how long a mixed vial lasts.
| Vial | + 1ml | + 2ml | + 3ml | + 5ml |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500mg | 500 mg/ml | 250 mg/ml | 166.67 mg/ml | 100 mg/ml |
Take the 500mg vial: 2ml of bacteriostatic water puts it at 250 mg/ml. The sum is the milligrams on the label over the millilitres you put in. Every figure here is a concentration. None of them is a dose, and this site carries no dosage, protocol or administration guidance at all.
Asked about mixing NAD+
How much bac water to add to 500mg NAD+?
Whatever volume goes in, the 500mg lands somewhere on this scale: 1ml gives 500 mg/ml, 2ml gives 250 mg/ml, 3ml gives 166.67 mg/ml, 5ml gives 100 mg/ml. We keep that size, so you will find it in the table above and as a choice in the picker.
How long does reconstituted NAD+last?
Let it warm to room temperature, wipe the stopper, then send the bacteriostatic water down the side of the glass instead of onto the powder. Roll it until it clears; never shake it. Concentration follows from the volume you picked, so on the 500mg vial, 1ml gives 500 mg/ml, 2ml gives 250 mg/ml, 3ml gives 166.67 mg/ml, 5ml gives 100 mg/ml.
How should it be handled?
- Let a refrigerated vial reach room temperature first.
- Wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab every time you go in.
- Aim the water at the glass wall so it runs down, not straight onto the cake.
- Roll it gently between your fingers. Shaking makes foam, and foam is damaged protein.
- Give it a few minutes to go into solution. Done properly it finishes clear.
Storing NAD+
| Sealed vial | Somewhere cool, dry and dark. For anything long term, the freezer. |
|---|---|
| Once reconstituted | Fridge, standing upright, away from light. Never freeze it once mixed. |
How long does it keep?
| Stored as | Keeps for |
|---|---|
| Sealed, frozen at −20 °C | Years. Nothing holds a lyophilised peptide better than this |
| Sealed, refrigerated at 2–8 °C | Months |
| Sealed, at room temperature | Weeks. Fine while it is in the post, not a place to keep it |
| Reconstituted, refrigerated | Think weeks, not months. Four weeks is the number most people work to once bacteriostatic water is in, which is exactly what its preservative is there for |
| Reconstituted, frozen | Best avoided. Ice crystals tear at peptides, and every freeze–thaw round makes it worse |
Treat these as the usual numbers for lyophilised peptides, not a stability result measured on one batch. Cold and dry buys time; moisture, heat, light and being shaken about take it away. Ask and we will send the batch certificate of analysis.
Is NAD+ legal in the UK?
We sell NAD+ as an unlicensed research compound, for laboratory research use only. There is no UK marketing authorisation behind it, it is not a licensed medicine, and it is not for human use, veterinary use or food.
Nothing of this kind is a controlled drug, and selling it as laboratory material is lawful. Selling or marketing it for people to take is not. That line is the reason you will not find a dose, a protocol, a route, a frequency or a medical claim anywhere on this site, and the reason asking for one by email gets the same answer.
A few molecules in this range also appear inside a licensed medicine sold under a brand name. That authorisation belongs to the finished product it was granted for; it does not follow the molecule anywhere else. Full terms.
NAD+ questions
Is NAD+ a peptide?
It is not. Two nucleotides make a coenzyme, and there is no peptide bond anywhere in it.
What is the difference between NAD+ and NMN?
One is the coenzyme, the other the precursor that leads to it. NMN sits earlier on the pathway. We carry NAD+ and not NMN.
What size do you stock?
One size only, the 500mg vial.
Where can I buy NAD+?
NAD+ is available in the UK from diluent.co.uk, from £33.99, a single 500mg size, as vials. Dispatch is domestic end to end. No border to cross, no duty to settle, no parcel stuck in a depot pending paperwork. That lands at £0.07 the milligram. It turns up as freeze-dried powder, so the concentration is yours to set when you mix it. Get the order in before 2pm on a weekday and it leaves that day, tracked, plainly packaged. Batches go to a third-party lab and come back at ≥99% by HPLC, and the certificate for yours is there if you ask, see how to order.
How much does fasting increase NAD+levels?
It starts at £33.99 for the 500mg, £0.07 per mg. Postage runs £4.95, and nothing at all above £75.
Does NAD+have to be refrigerated?
Still sealed and dry it will sit for years at −20 °C, months in a fridge at 2–8 °C, weeks at room temperature. Cold and dry is what buys the time. After mixing it goes in the fridge standing up, and four weeks is the figure most work to with bacteriostatic water. Never freeze it once mixed: ice crystals tear peptides apart and each freeze–thaw round does it again.
Is NAD+FDA approved?
We sell NAD+ as an unlicensed research compound for laboratory research, and for nothing else. No UK marketing authorisation stands behind it, it is not a licensed medicine, and it is not for human or veterinary use. We are not a pharmacy.
What purity is your NAD+, and can I see a certificate?
≥99%, measured by HPLC. Quote the batch number on your label and we will send the certificate of analysis for that lot. If you would rather see where current stock sits before you commit, ask and we will tell you.
